Agora Association - First reminiscence center in Romania


	Remembering yesterday... Agora Association has created the first Reminiscence Center in Romania. It is designed to help elderly dementia suffering, uninstitutionalized patients. During this project, that lasted 9 months, there have been 640 people that were direct and indirect beneficiaries of this Reminiscence Center. Results: individuals suffering form dementia were treated and attended without any discrimination, integrated in a social group and stimulated to communicate with one another, as well as to perform various instrumental activities (attended by specializes staff). We also managed to create informational and advertising materials that helped us inform potential beneficiaries, but also let the public find out more about the reminiscence stimulation technique in Bucharest.
